• My Child is Sick, What Should I Do?

If your child has any of the following symptoms (fever, new cough, congestion, difficulty breathing, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, new loss of taste or smell, headache, fatigue, body aches) you must follow these AAPS Covid guidelines below.

In order for your child to return to school as soon as possible we must have ONE of the following:

    1. A negative COVID-19 test (rapid antigen, home antigen, or PCR test) result

    OR

    1. A note from your healthcare provider with an alternative diagnosis or a note stating why your child was ill.

    OR

    1. If your child is not tested for COVID-19, and has not been to see a health care provider, your child must stay home from school for 5 days since their symptoms began. Symptoms should also be significantly improved before returning.

*Please note, your child cannot return to school until being fever and vomiting-free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medications and improved symptoms.
